| Darren was born in Baton Rouge, LA and moved
with his family to Kansas City at a young age. He met his wife Kelly in High School where
they dated for 5 years before deciding to tie the knot and start a family. They have two
children, Kaylyn 10 and Tyler 8. Kaylyn enjoys gymnastics and Tyler is already perfecting
his freestyle abilities with his HPI Wheely King. Darren's brother Cameron lives in the
Kansas City area also and frequently helps out with the team. Although he never thought
he'd be driving for one of the top teams in Monster Jam, Darren has been going to shows
since he could walk. Before joining 2Xtreme Racing Darren kept busy with woodworking,
remodelling jobs and driving over-the road for a handfull of trucking companies. In 2006
Tyler asked if he could see a monster truck up close, so Darren looked up the team and
things fell into place from there.
Darren's favorite part of the job is meeting fans, especially kids with severe life
challenging illnesses. In the little spare time he has, Darren spends most of it with his
family and still enjoys woodworking. He hopes to one day qualify for the Monster Jam World
Finals and take a shot at running against the sport's biggest stars. If you see Darren at
