Nick Owens passed away Saturday August 13th 2011 in a non-racing related incident.  He drove the 2Xtreme Racing trucks during the 2010 and 2011 seasons.   Nick was a natural behind the wheel and delivered some amazing freestyles during the 2011 Monster Jam season in Iron Outlaw.  His efforts in Anaheim, Oakland and El Paso earned him Rookie of the Year at the Monster Jam awards banquet in Las Vegas.   Before getting behind the wheel, Nick was a mechanic and body man for many years behind the scenes.
